Ed Kurtz’ horror novel Bleed is about a man who is compelled to feed a strange creature growing in his new home. This project focused on depicting the novels core violence in a subtle way; the photography, design, and lettering allude to the confronting content of the novel but in a way that stands out against the conventions of the horror shelf being realised in a soft pink palette with all the gruesome details hidden inside and underneath the jacket.
